Defined as: May be open  plan or have separate rooms but offers facilities to enable the guest to be self-contained  with bathroom, kitchenette or full cooking facilities. May be adjoining to another building or home and have a separate or private entrance.
For a getaway with all the modern conveniences, a studio or apartment is the way to go.
Houses & Lodges
Defined as: Provides all the normal domestic facilities of a home including bedrooms, lounge room, dining room or area, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and often laundry facilities. The building is free standing and guests are likely to have exclusive use of the property and outdoor areas to enjoy.

Denmark Western Australia, Farm Life   Chalets, Cabins, Cottages & Villas
Defined as: Free standing buildings, smaller than a house and often with more than one on the property. Provides most facilities to be self-contained. May be open plan style or have separate bedrooms. Property may have holiday or retreat style facilities.
If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a weekend with friends and family, Denmark has many options ranging from stylish villas, rustic self-contained cottages and country style cabins and chalets.
B&Bs & Guesthouses
Defined as: The host and guests are accommodated either in the same building as the guests or in accommodation external to that building. Breakfast is included in the tariff and prepared by the hosts.
For very personal attention some visitors prefer the traditional B&B style of accommodation, and there are plenty of B&Bs to choose from. Your hosts will be keen to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Defined as: similar to an apartment or villa and often provide most facilities to be self-contained. May be open plan style or have separate bedrooms. Retreat style accommodation often offers wellness services on the property.

Defined as: Accommodation similar to a B&B or Cabin and always situated on a rural  property or farm with involvement in farm activities, tours and experiences - may be offered on the property or at nearby working farms.

Denmark Western Australia, Boat on River   Holiday Parks, Caravan & Camping
Defined as: Many caravan parks have evolved into 'Holiday Parks'. They may offer all of, or a mixture of permanent onsite caravans available for short term or long term hire, powered and unpowered sites for visiting caravans, camping sites and onsite self contained cabins or chalets. Caravan parks will contain an amenities block which includes shared toilets and bathroom facilities and a laundry. Many will also include a camp kitchen, BBQs, swimming pools, mini golf, kiosks, open fire places and children's play grounds.
There are a number of caravan parks, located both in the town of Denmark  and the surrounding region, which have big demand during the warmer months. Camping facilities are also available for those wanting to get close to nature.
Hotel & Motels
Defined as: Hotel - consists of a room with an ensuite bathroom and lounge area, though some hotel rooms are more like large apartments and are self-contained. The hotel is next to the Denmark Tavern.
Motels - This form of accommodation has evolved from the word combination of 'Motorist' and 'Hotel' to give 'Motel'. Motels are literally accommodations for those people with vehicles who can drive up to the doors of their rooms. The rooms usually consist of a bedroom and an ensuite bathroom, though some motels (or Motor Inns) do offer apartment style, fully self-contained options.

Denmark Western Australia, Kangaroo   Backpackers
Defined as: Backpacker accommodation provides a cheap and convenient option for budget travelers. Rooms will nearly always include a shared bathroom, though some are more like motel rooms. Single and double rooms are often available but more often rooms are dormitory style. Kitchen facilities are shared, as are laundry and lounge rooms.
Being a large farming community Denmark is filled each year with fresh faced backpackers looking to make a living and enjoy the local environment. Backpackers are certainly catered for with well appointed clean accommodation.
